Weapons

Assault Rifles:

M8A1 - Otherwise known as the XM8, this rifle looks to be the standard rifle of the Black Ops soldiers, seen many times in the trailer. Developed by H&K as a replacement for the M16 and M4, but failed. Obviously Black Ops 2 has ressurected the rifle. The in-game version appears to be a modification of the existing rifle, with an upper rail on the carry handle and a new handguard.
_______________________________________________________________________________

M16**** - A standard in Call of Duty, the M16 (M16A1) is a staple of the series. This version is from the Vietnam era, and is unconfirmed if it will be in multiplayer.
_______________________________________________________________________________
AN-94 – This is the AN-94 Abakan, a new Russian assault rifle. Also seen a few times in the trailer, and appears to be the standard Insurgent rifle. It has a unique 2-round burst fire that very well may be seen in-game.
_______________________________________________________________________________
A-91**/Vepr** – Russian assault rifle/carbine that looks to be bullpup, using what looks like an AK type magazine. Not sure which the rifle is exactly yet, as it could be neither.
_______________________________________________________________________________
AK47****/AK74– Cannot tell with cartridge it is using, but the AK, whichever variant it is, is making a not-so-surprising return to the series. This horse-riding segment is in the past though, so not sure if this will make it to multiplayer.
_______________________________________________________________________________
SCAR-H* - Battle rifle developed by FN Herstal for the SCAR competition. Seen in an interview with Mark Lamia about Black Ops 2. Seems very similar to the MW2 model, so either this is used until they design their own SCAR-H, or this might just be a placeholder weapon and not actually be in the game.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Type 95 - Otherwise known as the QBZ-95 (and shown as the "Type 25" in a typo), the Type 95 is a slightly new gun in the COD series, being very popular in MW3. It is a Chinese Bullpup Rifle chambered in a 5.8x42mm Chinese Special. In-game it looks to be the standard rifle variant. Only time will tell if will be as infamous as the overpowered version in MW3.

KH-2002 Khaybar
KH2002* - The (Khaybar) KH-2002 is an Iranian-designed bullpup assault rifle. It is essentially a bullpup-M16, but do not think so simply of it. Seen in a concept art picture.

Submachine Guns:
_______________________________________________________________________________
MP7 - Submachine gun made by H&K, seen in a leaked multiplayer image. It uses a unique 4.6x30mm catridge.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Vector K-10 - Otherwise known as the Vector or the Super-V, this is a submachine gun developed by Kriss. It uses an asymmetrical recoil and in-line design to reduce recoil and muzzle climb, making it an extremely fast-firing yet accurate SMG.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Chicom QCB*** - The Chicom QCB is a Chinese sub-machine gun. The real-life counterpart is unknown, but could quite possibly be a variant of the QCW-05 (Type-05).
_______________________________________________________________________________
Light Machine Guns:
_______________________________________________________________________________
MK-48 - The MK-48 is the military-designated version of the M249, chambered in 7.62x51mm instead of 5.56x45mm. Seen used by a Secret Service squadron in the trailer. The MK-48 returns from its apperance in MW3.
_______________________________________________________________________________
LSAT - Seen in the E3 behind the Scenes Video at 1:50. Identified by the signature caseless ammunition as well as the stock design.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Shotguns:
_______________________________________________________________________________
KSG - American shotgun developed by Kel-Tec with a cool design and a unique dual-tube magazine, holding a whopping 141 capacity. In-game it will probably resemble its MW3 brother to most of its extent. It is chambered in 00 buckshot, 12-gauge.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Snipers:
_______________________________________________________________________________
Storm PSR*** - The The Storm PSR (aka Railgun) has the unique ability to punch through cover with a railgun-like effect thanks to its charged, multi-bullet shots. The longer the charge, the more penetration the shot has. It also can see through walls (ie. thermal scan). Also confirmed the be the mysterios tri-barreled rifle.

_______________________________________________________________________________
AS-50* - Seen being researched in the E3 Behind the scenes video. It is unconfirmed if this will be in the game, just that they are looking at this type of sniper. The AS50 is a .50 BMG sniper/anti-materiel rifle manufactured by British firearms producer Accuracy International.

Pistols:
______________________________________________________
KAP-40 - also known as the KARD, this is a pistol developed by Kriss that uses the same recoil-controlling technology that is in the Vector. In-game it is a semi-automatic pistol.

_______________________________________________________________________________
FN 5-7 - This is a Belgian pistol, an FN 5-7, also featured in MW3. It has a unique 5.7x28mm cartridge, thus its name. It has been seen in multiple trailers, but there are no pictures of it, only video.

________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________
M1911 - The Colt M1911 is making a return from the previous game. The 1911 fires a .45 ACP round. This is the gun in the Black Ops 2 Promotional Cover Poster.

_________________________

Type 92 - A new pistol to the series, the Type 92 (AKA the QSZ-92) is a pistol firing the standard 9X19 parabellum round, although there is a chinese 5.8 special that it might use. It holds 15 rounds regardless of the caliber and is identified due to the hook at the bottom of the grip and the slide serrations.

Launchers:
_______________________________________________________________________________
RPG**/SMAW**- The Rocket-propelled grenade launcher is an iconic weapon in the COD series. The RPG is a shoulder-fired, anti-tank weapon system which fires rockets equipped with an explosive warhead. (in the E3 gameplay it shows an icon for the SMAW. This is a placeholder).
